Attorney Profile
Meredith H. Makin dedicates her practice to assisting clients with various domestic relations and family law issues. Attorney Makin is a trained mediator and is also certified to provide Limited Assistance Representation (LAR) to client’s involved in mediation as well as to clients involved in litigation.
Prior to founding the Law Office of Meredith H. Makin, P.C. in 2013, Meredith spent several years practicing at a boutique family law firm in the Metro-Boston area representing clients in complex cases in the Probate and Family Courts throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
In 2012 Attorney Makin received the Super Lawyers Rising Star award for her advocacy skills, as nominated by her peers. The Rising Star honor is given to no more than 2.5 percent of attorneys throughout the state of Massachusetts. Meredith was also recognized as an Outstanding Young Lawyer in the Top Women Attorneys section as published in Boston Magazine in 2013.
Attorney Makin is a 2006 Dean’s List graduate of Suffolk University Law School. While at Suffolk Law, Meredith was also worked within the Juvenile Court and the Probate and Family Court of Worcester County.
Meredith graduated cum laude from Elmira College in Elmira, New York with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2003 where she interned with the Chemung County District Attorney’s Office.
Meredith is licensed to practice in Massachusetts and provides representation in the Probate and Family Courts of Essex, Middlesex, Norfolk, Plymouth, and Worcester County.
